Coffee, fashion, gardening and food.

Went into work for Mum and Dad today- a couple of months ago a gorgeous new coffee shop opened up the street from their business and it's absolutely gorgeous. There's colour, character, art, friendly baristas and a beautiful atmosphere. The coffee is incredible.
It's called 'Disco Beans' .

I have been going to 'Lush' quite a lot lately and at the moment they are wrapping their gifts in vintage/recycled head scarves for Christmas. They're $5.50 each and there is an incredibly colourful selection to choose from. I've taken to purchasing one for myself at each visit to wear in my hair or around my neck, along with my heavenly smelling bath salts.

I wandered down to the veggie patch today to remove the flowers from the rocket plant (as well as pick a few sprigs) and miraculously found a strawberry that hadn't been eaten by a tiny evil creature. Although I went down to collect a few yums, I ended up spending a half hour pulling weeds and throwing away snails (I couldn't kill them, they had huddled up in family groups). Forgot my gloves though so my hands got a bit grubby.

When I arrived home today after a day of physical work (something my privileged self is not used to), I was happy to find a package that had been adorned with Hello Kitty and My Little Pony stickers, which in my opinion is enough to brighten anyone's day. But as well as that, there was my lovely new TARDIS hair bow inside!
After my weeding expedition in the garden, I decided it was time for a relaxing bath and what better excuse to use my newly purchased Lush products than a good soak after some gardening? I now smell like a peach.
After my bath I found in the kitchen a bow of veggies and a saucepan of stock that my lovely Mama had prepared for me to begin cooking and teamed with some noodles- my what a tasty and healthy dinner. With the addition of a yummy chocolate mousse and berries for dessert of course.
